About the Institute

Instytut Badań Gospodarczych / Institute of Economic Research (Poland) is an independent research organisation dedicated to conducting and disseminating scientific research in the field of economics.

Statutory objectives

  1. Promote and support Poland’s socio-economic development.
  2. Enhance economic awareness and foster economic literacy within society.
  3. Create favourable conditions for the advancement of economic sciences and promote advances in economic research both nationally and internationally.
  4. Support the professional development of economists and managers and help them enhance their qualifications.
  5. Encourage integration and collaboration between academic economists and business practitioners.

Activities

The Institute’s activities focus on supporting scientific research through academic publishing, research projects, academic conferences, and business consultancy services. As an academic publisher, the Institute publishes scholarly monographs and academic journals. It also conducts externally funded and internally initiated research projects, organises academic conferences, and provides consulting services, particularly in the field of logistics.

To achieve its mission, the Institute collaborates with universities and research institutions in Poland and abroad, as well as with experts and professionals from a range of industries and professional fields.

Recognised academic publisher

The Institute of Economic Research is included in the official list of publishers of peer-reviewed scholarly monographs, issued by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education on 17 December 2019. The Institute is classified as a Level I publisher (80 points) under entry no. 173 and Publisher Identification Number 27300.
